The Terrace Cottage
Lancewood Villa’s Terrace Cottage offers guests unique, romantic accommodation in what once served as the farm workshop. Many of the farm gates still in use around Lancewood Villa today, were beautifully crafted here. The transformation to a warm, charming two bedroom cottage, complete with simple kitchen, dining and bathroom facilities, has retained the spirit of farm life. Its exposed truss beams, functional flooring and French country style furniture and decor are rustic yet delightful, and include our own handprinted cushions highlighting the distinctive lancewood leaf motif. The terrace offers guests a private, sunny, sheltered outdoor living area, with a picturesque, tree-framed view of the beautiful Upper Moutere landscape, an intimate experience of native bird life, and easy access to Lancewood Villa’s protected native forest and its stunning natural pool and Mediterranean style gardens.

Eco-Friendly Practices
Non-Toxic Products
We give all our guests free soap and shampoo bars that play nicely with our delicate bio-waste system. Our worms thank you! All our cleaning products are non-toxic and our bedding is made of natural materials.
Compost & Recycling
We love it when our guests reduce, re-use and recycle with us. We supply composting & recycling facilities to all guests and make it easy for everyone to do their part.
Local & Organic Food
Our breakfasts and evening meals we sell are all organic and local. We grow our own organic fruit, vegetables, eggs, olive oil, roast our own coffee (beans sourced from organic producers) and buy our pastries locally.
